Applications and scholarship competitions for Fall, Summer, and Maymester 2014 are now available! Follow the links above to find out more! Download our new Program Guide to start shopping for programs, then come back to the website when you've narrowed down your list (you can also stop by GEO to get a printed copy of the program guide). Follow us on Twitter, Facebook, or AnchorLink to be notified when future terms become available.
Our semester cost calculator is now available. Use it to estimate the cost of your semester abroad, as well as compare it to the cost of staying at Vanderbilt. A calculator for summer GEO programs is also available.
You can also explore the experiences of students currently or recently studying abroad. Check out our blog roundup, or see photos by past participants. Vandy study abroad students have written a guidebook to many of their favorite places in our study abroad locations--the Insider's Guide to World Travel.
GEO also tracks student travel that isn't related to our study abroad programs (such as students traveling overseas to do independent research, or group trips like Alternative Spring Break). Register your travel.
Get involved at home and abroad with VISAGE!
VISAGE, the Vanderbilt Initiative for Scholarship and Global Engagement, is a unique program that allows students to experience other places and cultures through both study and direct engagement.
VISAGE participants enjoy a year-long learning sequence beginning in January with a core course at Vanderbilt, followed by a summer service or field-based project abroad, and an optional research intensive seminar, often with a community service component, in the fall semester.
Recent VISAGE programs have included study of ecotourism in Costa Rica; education and social cohesion in South Africa; community, family and social justice in Nicaragua and access to healthcare in Guatemala.Download a brochure about VISAGE.
