The Global Education Office administers a number of scholarships, available primarily to undergraduate students studying abroad on GEO programs. The table below summarizes the offerings available.
Most competitions for GEO scholarships can be entered with a single Common Application. The remaining scholarships are tied to a specific study abroad program or group of programs, and applications are contained within the applications for those programs (e.g. any VISAGE program).
Note that many scholarships are available only to students who are matriculated in or have a declared major, or dual major in a subject offered by the Vanderbilt University College of Arts and Science. These are identified as being for "A&S students only" below. Students matriculated in Blair, Peabody or Engineering are only eligible for "A&S only" scholarships if they have a declared dual major in the College of Arts and Science at the time of scholarship review.
Scholarships for study abroad in Summer/Maymester will open for applications in mid-November, with applications due in mid-January. We expect to announce the results in late February.
