Some quick facts about studying abroad through Vanderbilt University:

  • Students can study abroad as early as the summer after their freshman year! Here is more information on eligibility.
  • VU financial aid applies to semester- and year-long study abroad on any VU-approved program. You can compare costs for a semester abroad and a semester on a particular abroad program here. (Fees listed are for fall 2014 and spring 2015.)
  • With proper planning, a student with ANY major can study abroad! We even have a point person for STEM majors contemplating study abroad, and that's Isabelle Crist. The VUSE Study Abroad page is another great resource for engineering students who plan to study abroad.
  • With GEO study abroad programs, students can earn major and minor credit abroad; grades come back and factor into the Vanderbilt GPA.
